What… a… week… It’s incredible what a woman can accomplish before going on vacation. Between miscellanous errands, record breaking temperatures, packing, business, and life in general, this week has been very full. The strange sadness of losing my friend has also found me in quiet moments… I focus my energy on love and gratitude…

Rather than continue with further extraneous “…’s”, I will bid you all adieu. Vacation awaits! Until my return, take good care dear lovelies! <3

For days now (has it been weeks?) I’ve had a bit of writers block. This post is my effort to become un-stuck. Life has been very busy for Lavender & Lotus, but there is something else that has kept me preoccupied. A friend of my family has been very sick. I’ve struggled with whether or not to write about her - trying to maintain a positive thread here - but now I think it’s time to get real. Heather was 27 when she was first diagnosed, and a single mother of 3 young children. She put up a good fight over these past 5 years, and inspired all of us with her humor and strength through the process.

Heather received her wings two days ago. This post is in honor of her. May she always live on in our hearts. <3
