Morning! One project currently in progress is a kitchen redesign with a super fun client that I originally worked with last year. For this redesign, we will be updating the wall color, light fixtures, and furniture - eventually. Lighting updates, as well as a fresh coat of paint, are two easy ways to bring a lot of change to a space.
Since I’ve been a busy bee researching light fixtures, I thought I would share a few sparkly ones that caught my eye.
So what’s a girl to write about on this day of love? What’s a girl to say when she is head over heels, somebody pinch me, I can’t stop smiling, life is so sweet, ”At last my love has come along” kinda ridiculously happy? Each day we get closer to our wedding, and I am reminded of how lucky I am to have found such a wonderful person to share my life with. I wish this kinda over the moon joy for all of you as well. Love really is all we need <3
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
Only four months until I become a married woman… Ahhh! The last 10 months have flown by, and I’m sure the next 4 will fly even faster. I think I have done well not to stress up until this point - that is except for the last week or so. (Hence my awkward, befuddled mess the other day). Sure my plate may feel full, but honestly - when doesn’t it? Life is all about having a full plate, and experiencing it one bite at a time. Sure, some bites may be more bitter or sweet than others. Some bites are hard to swallow, even if you know it’s for your own good. I will chose to savor these bites over the next 4 months, and for the next 60 years after that.
Otherwise, 2013 is guaranteed to be a big year for us - not only are we going to tie the knot, but we’re looking to buy our first house as well. I also anticipate 2013 to be the strongest year for Lavender & Lotus to date. Now entering our 5th year in business, I feel a powerful sense of confidence, experience, optimism, and direction. I credit 2012 as a year of awareness and reflection. This, my friends, will be the year of action.

Today I thought I would slow down for a moment…. and say hello. If only my head would follow suit. I’m feeling particularly scattered today and writing may not be the best idea after all. So rather than fight it, I will relent and move on to the next To Do.
