It’s official! I am a married woman.

A full week has passed since the big day. I feel like my first post deserves to be monumental, detailed, beautiful and eloquent, but I’m still trying to absorb it all. These thoughts and images may be short and simple, they are sweet nonetheless.

Gotta love a good “ah ha”.

For the last week (month?) I have been asked with increasing frequency and exaggerated facial expressions: “Are you excited for your wedding???!!!!” And in truth, my reaction has felt a bit lukewarm. Aside from moments of disbelief that this is all really happening, I realized yesterday that I have been looking at the wedding as a deadline. I have X-number of things to buy, make, and do, and a limited window to do it in.

So with this awareness, I am choosing to slow down. I will prioritize, delegate, and let go. I will receive abundant well wishes, no matter how awkward I find being the center of attention. I will be gentle with myself because
