It’s been raining for what seems like forever. I realize the earth and flowers really need it, but come ON! Perhaps I’m just operating on a bit of short fuse from an intense week. Gotta love growth.

To lighten the mood, here are some cute, happy, fun things from Pinterest-land. Happy weekend!

Ciao

What… a… week… It’s incredible what a woman can accomplish before going on vacation. Between miscellanous errands, record breaking temperatures, packing, business, and life in general, this week has been very full. The strange sadness of losing my friend has also found me in quiet moments… I focus my energy on love and gratitude…

Rather than continue with further extraneous “…’s”, I will bid you all adieu. Vacation awaits! Until my return, take good care dear lovelies! <3

Exciting finds on Etsy

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

Believe it or not, I’ve just discovered Etsy. (I know! What is wrong with me?!) Granted I heard about it ages ago, but I never slowed down long enough to peek for myself. Amazing! This is an excellent resource for vintage finds and handcrafted wares. Take a look…

Another popular style is Shabby Chic. The keyword here is WHITE. Characteristics of Shabby Chic include slipcovered furniture, vintage items such as linens, accessories, and furnishings, distressed pieces, as well as floral and toile fabrics. Although this style is often thought of as more casual, I would have a hard time letting down my guard with so much white. In a nutshell, I’d describe Shabby Chic as feminine, light, and airy.

I dare you to say “Pesky problem rooms are the perfect referral” five times fast :)

Last week my ever-so-talented painter friend mentioned tackling a pesky problem room before his inlaws came to visit. With the holidays quickly approaching, pesky problem rooms make for the perfect referral for me as well!

Perhaps the living room is showing signs of too much wear, the dining room is a diaster, the guest room is looking less than hospitable, and the bathroom - well the bathroom is just bad. You know who to call!

By the way … how is that tongue twister coming along?

I need to tell you about a serious problem - a problem that has plagued homes and offices across the State. Side effects may include nausea, indigestion, anxiety, depression, loss of appetite, insomnia, or increase in blood pressure. Similar to the symptoms of ugly wallpaper, I’m referring to…

UGLY WINDOW TREATMENTS!

Aside from the obvious fact that they are ugly, window treatments in need of replacing may have been damaged from a climbing cat, faded from direct sunlight, or reflect the style of decades past. I can help homeowners with custom designed window treatments, as well as with selection of ready-made alternatives. What do YOUR windows look like?

“Ladies Night Out”

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Last night Lavender & Lotus Interior Design participated in “Ladies Night Out”, an event sponsored by the Hooksett Public Library. This was a delightful evening featuring numerous businesses local to central and southern New Hampshire.

Sincere thanks to those who showed an interest in Lavender & Lotus. I look forward to working with you!
