Next up - Orange! (Sorry Orange, you didn’t get much of an intro there). Orange is one of those colors that most people either love or hate. Personally, I have to admit that Orange has found it’s way into my heart.
From Red-Orange to Yellow-Orange, this color is known to suggest humor, happiness, encouragement, adventure, spontaneity, creativity, and abundance. A common element in nature’s palette, Orange is frequently represented as the undertone of many wood grains, soil/earth, sunrises and sunsets.

Hello again! I’m having such a great time with these colorful posts - hopefully you are enjoying them as well. Next in our series is what I would refer to as Blue-Green or Turquoise.
Although Pantone may have coined their “Turquoise” as Color of the Year for 2010, I wouldn’t consider Blue-Green to be out of fashion. After all Blue-Green encompasses a wide range of colors. For example, ”Quarry” is a hot color trend for Fall 2011.

Maybe it’s the soul of summer, but Blue-Green (or Turquoise) is really speaking to me.

Hello and welcome! Great to have you back :) Next to be featured is a color that has made quite an impression on me. So much so, that I even went so far as to include it in my business name! That’s right, you guessed it: Purple.
Purple, or Violet, is known to embody passion, drama, artistry, spirituality, opulence, determination, independence, wisdom, intrigue, and wit. Feast your eyes on these delicious images:

In what will be an exciting series dedicated to color, I have decided to start you off with one of my absolute favorites: Green.
Green is known to represent hope, growth, luck, nature, fertility, rebirth, peace, balance, luxury, prosperity, vitality, abundance, and more. From yellow-green to blue-green, there are more variations of green than any other color in the world. Green has become associated with environmentalism, and is considered to be Nature’s perfect neutral. Enjoy!

It’s official: the project for Main Street Concord, Inc. is underway! Sherry Burnett and I have been working to create a faux brick wall in each room of the Main Street office. Below are a few images of our progress so far.
First room - Tape, tape, and more tape…

Sherry working her magic on the first room.

As you can see, I was a little loopy by the second room
The response so far has been fantastic. More images are on their way - stay tuned!

The sun is shining, birds chirp outside my window, and the curtains float up on a gentle breeze. The smell of lilacs and apple blossoms fill the room. Green explodes outside. Spring is a time to celebrate the joy of a new year, starting over, a time for growth. It’s time for change and your home is a great place to start.
